Does this work on handwritten text?

Yes — OpenAI Vision handles printed and handwritten text, though accuracy varies with image quality.

Is there a public image URL option?

Yes — POST JSON with an 'image_url' field instead of a multipart upload.

What languages are supported?

OCR works best with Latin-script languages. Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, and Devanagari are also supported.
